The two closest major airports are Jacksonville (one hour away) and Savannah (an hour and a half away). There is a smaller regional airport in Brunswick (30 mins away), but direct flights are rare and expensive.

Jekyll is a small island! Uber and Lyft are RARE – do not rely on these.

The easiest option is for someone in your group to rent a car at the airport.

We often make the trip without one! If you go that route, pre-book your travel with Edward Transportation. They are our go-to and your most reliable option for getting to and from the airport. For on-island transit, we encourage renting a golf cart with Red Bug Rental (as soon as you know your travel plans!). You can also rent bikes through the Jekyll Island Club or Red Bug.

Be sure to roll your windows down once you get on Island for that sea breeze!

Jekyll Island is a state park and has a $10/day parking fee. When you first enter the island, you will approach a toll booth (cash or card). You may pay ahead online.
